Frequently Asked Dental Questions – Cambridge, MA

Increase Your Dental IQ

We are always happy to answer our patients’ questions face to face. However, since we receive some questions more frequently than others, we thought it might be more convenient for you if we answered those questions right here on our website. If you do not see answers to your specific inquiries, or you would like more information on a particular topic, give us a call so we can personally help you out.

Do You Accept My Dental Insurance?

We welcome payment from most types of PPO dental insurance. We will verify your coverage, file your claims, and help you get as much value as possible from your policy. If you have a type of insurance that we do not accept, or you do not have any insurance, you can still enjoy reduced prices on care when you sign up for our Essential Dental plan.

How Often Should I Visit the Dentist?

Most patients derive the greatest benefit from biannual dental visits — one appointment every six months. However, if you have gum disease or other significant oral health concerns, more frequent visits may be in order.

How Can I Improve the Way My Smile Looks?

We offer several cosmetic services that can improve the way teeth look, including whitening, veneers, and more. If the aesthetic issues with your smile are related to oral health problems, such as missing teeth, gum disease, or other issues, we can put together a restorative plan that will improve both the function and appearance of your mouth.

I’m Nervous About Treatment. How Can You Help?

We have a friendly and empathetic staff who always strive to make patients comfortable. If you require more than an inviting atmosphere to feel at ease, one of our sedation options may be appropriate for you.

Do You Accept Emergency Patients?

Yes. When you are in need of urgent dental care, give us a call. We will make room in our schedule to attend to you as soon as possible, probably on the same day that you contact us. When you arrive, we will act quickly to relieve your pain and minimize the damage to your oral health.

What Is the Best Way to Replace My Missing Teeth?

We will make a personalized treatment recommendation for you when you visit us for a consultation. For most patients, dental implants are the best way to rebuild lost dentition. Implants are sturdier and longer-lasting than alternative options.
